student asking question

Is it a way to speak in British English? For me, "It's not an easy task" sounds more natural.

I am unsure if this is a British English phrase, however this is a fairly common and natural phrase that is used by many English speakers. You are also correct about "It's not an easy task." This is also a very natural and common phrase. Both are perfectly fine to use and it's up to you which one you would prefer! Ex: Working with numbers is not an easy task for me. Ex: She has to work late tonight and that's no easy task.
