What's the difference between "boycott" and "veto"?

A "boycott" refers to an act of nonviolent protesting by refusing to do something. Anyone can "boycott" something. A "veto", on the other hand, is the right that someone in power has to reject a decision. Ex: The protesters stood outside the factory to boycott unfair wages to workers. Ex: The president vetoed the bill to raise the minimum wage.
