An "aisle" is a narrow path between two different things. This word is usually used to describe the passageways between shelves with items in a supermarket or other stores, or the walkway between seats in a theater, airplane, a church, etc. Ex: The salt is on aisle five. Ex: The bride was escorted by her father down the aisle. Ex: Do you want an aisle seat or a window seat on the plane?
