What does "I'mma" mean? And is it a general expression?

"I'mma" is a contraction of "I'm going to". It is very informal, however, it is common in spoken English, especially in casual conversations and certain dialects of English in the United States. Ex: I'mma get something to drink. Ex: I'mma cook dinner.
