What is the difference between "every" and "every single"?
These both have the same meaning, but "every single [something]" is used to add emphasis. You can understand it as meaning "each and every" or "all." You can use it when referring to a shared characteristic by every case or example of something. Ex: Every single one of my brothers is a football player. Ex: Every single shirt I own is pink.
