Monica is actually being sarcastic here and so the use of "great" is not genuine. "Great" means wonderful or amazing, and here that is the opposite of how she feels about the situation. She is actually very disappointed. Ex: Well, that's just great. Now I have to start all over again. Ex: Oh great! I lost my wallet. Ex: Great! You broke it.
