I'm not familiar with "porch." Can I think entrance of every house is "porch"?

"Porch" actually refers to the covered shelter over the entrance of a house. You can think of it as a type of covered entrance, but not every house or home has a porch (because not all of them have coverings over the front door). Ex: My grandparents have a swing on their front porch. Ex: I like to sit on my porch and enjoy the fresh air.
