In this context, to "deal with [something]" means to take action in order to do something or solve a problem. Other times, it can also mean to be about or be on the subject of something (the topic of something). Ex. Grace said she would deal with the problem on her own. Ex. You should deal with your own problems before you worry about others. Ex. The book deals with the subject of homelessness. Ex. The movie deals with the relationship between a divorced couple.
