Is it common to use verb "wear" to hair? Can't I say "do hair"?

You can use both "wear" and "do" (along with "style") in reference to hair. Ex: I was having a lazy day, so I didn't do my hair. Ex: I like to wear my hair up, in a bun. Ex: I asked the hairdresser to style my hair like Miranda Kerr.
