student asking question

What does "thee" mean?

teacher

Native speaker’s answer

Rebecca

"Thee" is an old-fashioned word meaning "you". It is a singular pronoun, and so it can only be used when referring to one person. It is uncommon to use "thee" in modern day English, however, it is still seen in older literature and songs. Ex: I shall bring thee a rose. Ex: I miss thee.
