What's the difference between "letters" and "words"?

Great question. A "letter" is a symbol used with other symbols to form a language. For example, English has 26 letters in the alphabet: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, etc. Korean has 24 letters in the alphabet. Each letter is put together to form a word. These words are then used to create a language. Ex: The children learned how to write the letter B. Ex: The letter X is difficult to use in a name. Ex: The child learned five new words in school. Ex: You need to study these words for your spelling test tomorrow.
