Native speaker’s answer

"Supposed to" can be understood as meaning something similar to "expected to," "required to," or "meant to." By saying "how am I even supposed to stalk him?" the speaker is indicating her confusion at how she is expected to stalk him. Instead of saying "how can I stalk him?" it would be more natural to say "how do I even stalk him." Ex: How am I supposed to read this book? I don't understand French. Ex: You are supposed to wash the dishes after dinner.
