What is the difference between "weird" and "odd"?

"Weird" is used to describe someone or something strange, and has a negative connotation. "Odd" is used to describe someone or something unusual or out of place. Ex: My makeup looks weird today, I don't like it. Ex: That table looks odd by itself, so I'm going to put a chair next to it.
