Can I use other articles like "a" instead of "the"?

That's a great question. As you know "the" is used to refer to specific or particular nouns; "a/an" is used to modify non-specific or non-particular nouns. "The" is being used to show specificity and emphasis. By saying "the king of talking nonsense" we know that, while others may talk nonsense, this particular character is number one or the best at it. Therefore, we use "the". If you were to change to "a/an" we would lose the specificity and emphasis. Saying "a king of talking nonsense", we're now saying that there are are many people who talk nonsense as much or as well as this character. The nuance of "the" is lost. Ex: Let's eat the meal. (A specific meal) Ex: Let's eat a meal. (Any meal, not specific) Ex: I just saw the movie. (Specific movie) Ex: I just saw a movie. (Nonspecific)
