"Gonna" is the informal way of saying "going to". If you are not sure if it's grammatically correct, just switch it with 'going to' and see if it feels natural. Ex: I'm gonna go shopping = I'm going to go shopping (O) Ex: I'm gonna Seoul (X) = I'm going to Seoul (O) As you can see, you can't use 'gonna' in front of nouns, like Seoul. But you can use it in front of verbs, like go.
