"And so on" is a phrase that is used to express that there are similar things to the one mentioned previously which don't need to be listed because they are similar or expected. "And so on" is very similar to saying "et cetera (etc)". Ex: There are lots of animals on the farm. Cows, goats, chickens, and so on. Ex: She's been to a lot of countries in Africa. Ghana, Botswana, Tanzania, and so on.
