In the UK the phrase "do I have a story for you" is not treated as a question. It is a statement used to emphasize the fact that you have a very interesting or exciting story that you are about to tell the person. Something they would not expect. Ex: A. I really like Mark. He's so nice. B. Really? Well, do I have a story for you!
