Why is it okay to put "a" in front of a person's name?

Native speaker’s answer

Rebecca

Great question. In English we do not use a in front of a person's name. The reason why Jake uses "a" before Rainicorn is because Rainicorns are a species of rainbow/unicorn creatures. So it is the same as saying "a bird" or "a human". The character's name is Lady Rainicorn.
