I still don't understand this sentence. Isn't it "fabric" a cloth? What does "fabric of our lives" mean?

You are right, generally, the word fabric refers to a piece of fabric. However, here it is being used metaphorically. The term "fabric of our lives" is used to mean that something is a basis or foundation of our lives. Just as a piece of fabric has to be made up of threads, which are apart of the fabric, so is our lives made up of different things or materials that make up the whole. In this scene, DMX is saying that all these things he's talking about are like threads which make up the fabric, so they are all pieces that make up the whole of our lives. Ex: Family and good morals make up the fabric of our lives. Ex: The Internet has become part of the fabric of our lives.
