What is "reading glasses"? Can't I just say "glasses"?

"Reading glasses" are glasses that are generally used by older people as their vision gets worse with age. As the name suggests, they're mostly used for reading. They are different from "glasses" because "glasses" are generally used to correct the fault in sight at any age, and are prescribed after an eye test. Ex: A: Maybe you need glasses. B: No I have some reading glasses.
