Eso significa que los pastores estaban en el mismo país que Jesús la noche en la que Jesús nació. El país es Israel. Para responder a tu pregunta: sí, se puede utilizar: "There were shepherds in the same country." Significa lo mismo que lo que se dice en el vídeo, solo que está escrito en inglés moderno.
