You're right, "the most strong" is technically not grammatically correct and it would be better to use the word "strongest" in this case. A lot of native speakers use "most + adjective" even when it is technically incorrect because it is easy to mix up and the incorrect forms of the superlatives have become a part of colloquial English conversations.
