¡Así es! "Open water" hace referencia a agua que no está cerrada por una porción de tierra, sino que está a "mar abierto". Suele hacer referencia a un mar o a un océano. Ej: "The ships sailed on the open water." (Los barcos navegaron en mar abierto.) Ej: "Whales and dolphins should not be kept in enclosures. They should be out in the open water and living in the wild." (Las ballenas y los delfines no deberían estar en recintos. Deberían estar en mar abierto viviendo en libertad.)
