student asking question

Why does "a" put before white Christmas? Christmas is a limited day, so I think it should be "the" instead of "a".

The indefinite article "a" is used to refer to something in general. So in this context, "a Christmas" means Christmas day or the Christmas season in general. Ex: It was a Christmas without snow. Ex: A Christmas with the whole family.
