"Mama's boy" is an informal expression used to call a boy or man that is overly attached to or influenced by his mother. It is usually meant in a negative way. Ex: I broke up with my boyfriend. He was too much of a mama's boy. Ex: Peter was a mama's boy, so he did not have a very independent personality. Daddy's girl is the opposite expression, meaning a girl or woman that is overly attached to or indulged by her father. Ex: She's such a daddy's girl, her dad buys her anything she wants. Ex: I'm a daddy's girl. My dad spoils me a lot.
