What does "if you like" mean here?

Native speaker’s answer

Rebecca

"If you like" is used usually to express two things: to rephrase or express something in a new way, or to mean something similar to "if it suits/pleases you." The speaker has used it here for the first reason. He mentions that the tiger cub is acting in a submissive way, with his ears back and body low to the ground. He rephrases, or expresses these actions in a new way, by saying that he is "being a little bit unsure, if you like," with the "if you like" indicating that he is providing a new way to understand the cub's actions. Ex: I'm not sure if I have the experience, the qualifications if you like, for this job. (First definition) Ex: We can go to the movie theatre tomorrow, if you like. (Second definition)
