Do you use "merrymaking" in daily conversation?

"Merrymaking", or the process of being "merry" and enjoying oneself is a very old-fashioned word. This word is hardly ever used in English, and it is not common to use at all in daily conversations. The only reason it is used here is because of the time period that this show is set in, which is during the Renaissance period. More modern words to use that have similar meanings to "merrymaking" are "excitement", "enjoyment", and "joy".
