"As such" means to use the exact meaning of a word or phrase; in of itself. In this video, he is saying that he doesn't believe in fate as it is defined, but that he may believe in fate differently. "As such" is commonly confused with "therefore" or "accordingly" even though this is not the correct definition. Ex: I don't believe in ghosts as such, but I do believe I had a paranormal experience once. Ex: She is a doctor, and as such she must understand important medical terms.
