Native speaker’s answer

Rebecca

To be "freaked out" means to be very excited or emotional about something. These emotions can be negative or positive. Here, the speaker is asking his friend whether she is "freaked out (scared)" about being alone. Ex: The weather is usually very hot in Hawaii, so people freak out (get very excited) when it snows. Ex: My favorite singer announced a concert in my city, so I started freaking out. Ex: Mom is going to freak out when she sees the mess the dog made.
