"Overcast" means cloudy skies with little sunshine. It makes the skies look like a dull gray color and doesn't always mean that there will be rain. Ex: The weatherman says there will be overcast skies tomorrow. Ex: Right now, the overcast skies are blocking out the sun. Ex: You should still wear sunscreen even when the skies are overcast.
