"Go easy on someone" means to not treat someone severely or to punish that person if he does something wrong, especially if it's a new experience for him. Ex: I have never tried this before. Go easy on me. Ex: Go easy on her. This is her first day. Ex: I think he went easy on me yesterday. I had no clue what I was doing but he was very supportive.
