A market is an area in a city or town where people can buy and sell goods. Markets can be formal (fixed or permanent) or informal (occurring weekly, on the weekends, for festivals, etc.). Bazaars are permanent marketplaces, usually in the Middle East, where goods can be sold and purchased. The word "bazaar" is Persian in origin. You can consider bazaars to be a type of market, and they exist in many forms all around the world.
