What's the difference between "got worried" and "worried"?

"Got worried" means to "become worried" in the past tense. "Worried" is just the general past tense form of "worry". You can use "got worried" whenever you have changed and developed a worry about something or someone. Ex: I am worried about you. Ex: I always get worried when you come home late.
