If I just sat “table” not “dining table”, does it mean different kind of table?

Native speaker’s answer

Rebecca

Unless there are multiple tables in a space, if you just say "table", native English speakers will understand that you are referring to the only table in the space, the table near you, or the table that fits the context of the situation (for example, if you say "let's eat at the table", native English speakers will understand that eating will take place at the "dinner table", or largest table in the space). If there are multiple tables, you could specify which table you are referring to (dinner table, coffee table, etc.), but this is not always necessary.
