"A" or "an" should only be put between "such" and an adjective if the noun the adjective is describing is countable. One way to test whether "a" or "an" should be used is if the sentence is grammatically correct without "such". For example, "This is such beautiful scenery" and "This is beautiful scenery" are both grammatically correct, therefore "a" or "an" is not needed between "such" and "beautiful". Ex: You have such a nice car. ("Car" is a countable noun, so "a" is between "such" and "nice") Ex: This is such good food. ("Food" is not countable because it is not grammatically correct to say "I have one food, two food" etc., therefore "a" or "an" is not needed between "such" and "good")
