student asking question

Can you explain me the way of inserting "like" in the middle of the sentence, just like "like poor Kiki"? (How to use "like" in the middle of the sentence, and what's the meaning of it.)

"Like" here is inserted to give an example after "some of the dogs". If you want to give an example or list options after something you've mentioned, you can insert examples into the sentences by placing a comma after the subject and then another comma after what you have listed. Ex: Some colors, like red and purple, are difficult for colorblind people to see. Ex: A few old Disney movies, like Aladdin and The Lion King, have been recently remade into live action movies.
