Why would penguins huddle together? I suppose that the penguins don't hibernate?

You are correct! Emperor penguins do not hibernate, but they huddle together to keep warm when the temperature gets too cold. Huddling together preserves the body heat of the penguins, so they do not freeze to death. Other animals that do this are flying squirrels and bluebirds.
