"Laborers (labourers)" usually refers to people in jobs requiring low-skilled, manual (physical) labor, whereas "worker" does not make this distinction. It is used to refer to any person who works and is similar to "employee." Ex: The laborers at the farm started striking for better pay and working conditions.
