student asking question

It seems "I" is skipped at the front, and is it common to skip the subject in English? Or is it because this is lyrics?

Omitting the subject is fairly common in English, especially in informal speaking or writing. Here are a few common instances where the subject is omitted. One instance is where the subject is repeated in the sentences followed by a conjunction (and, but, or, then). Ex: She went into the kitchen and (she) made a peanut butter sandwich. - in this sentence, you would skip the second she. Ex: I drove to the gas station to purchase gas but (I) forgot my wallet. - in this sentence, you would skip the second I. However, in this video, the artist may have omitted the subject due to artistic interpretation. Billie Elish may have liked the song better without putting "I" before the remainder of the sentence.
