Would it change the meaning of the sentence if I say just "moving to" instead of "moving on to"? If so, what makes "moving on to" different from "moving to"?

"Move to" is used more often in reference to personal space. Ex: I'm moving to a new apartment next week. Ex: I'm moving to a new country. If you're switching or changing ideas, subjects, activities, or a mindset, you can use "move on." Ex: Let's move onto another topic! Ex: I'm trying to move on after the end of my relationship.
