Is it same if I change "turn into" to "turn to"?

Generally, we use the expression "turn into" to mean to transform into something else, indicating that the nature of a thing has changed. Meanwhile, turn to can indicate a number of meanings, including to ask someone for help (she turned to John for help), to start something during difficult times (he turned to alcohol), or to indicate a change in state of something (love turning to hate). In this case, the speaker wants to emphasize that transformation from a "do" to "something you have" so "turn into" is most appropriate to emphasize this transformation. "Turn to" would not have the same effect. Ex: The caterpillar turned into a butterfly. Ex: Turn that no into a yes. Ex: The man turned to alcohol to cope with losing his job. Ex: After they broke up, love turned to hate.
