When we say that something is a "plus," we mean that something is a good thing, advantage, or added benefit. This is an informal expression that is always used in a positive way. We also sometimes combine this expression with "big," to create "big plus." Ex: My new apartment is close to work, so that's a big plus. Ex: My workplace always has catered lunches, which is a plus.
