What's the difference between "connect to" and "connect with"?

Great question. Generally you can use "connect to" when things are physically touching or "connected" to each other. Whereas "connect with" is more often used to describe a relationship between people that is not a physical connection. In the case of this clip, "connect with" means to understand the person and their emotion. Ex: I need to connect the laptop to the TV so we can watch the movie. Ex: Is the garage connected to the house? Ex: I connect with him. He really understands me. Ex: I think you would really connect with my sister. You're very similar to her.
