Can I use the word "lay" to the human baby as well?

No. We don't use "lay" to indicate a human baby is being born. We use "born" instead. You can lay a baby down in their crib, but "lay" is not used to reference that the baby is born. Ex: She laid down to take a nap. Ex: The chicken laid 3 eggs this morning. Ex: I had to lay down after work since I wasn't feeling well. Ex: The baby was born at 11:32 pm. Ex: Her baby was born last year.
