What does "as well" mean here? and where else can I put "as well" in the sentence?

The phrase "as well" means also or in addition to. "As well" most always goes at the end of a sentence unlike "also" which can be placed either right after the subject or at the end of the sentence. Ex: I prefer coffee but I like tea as well. Ex: You have a dog? I have a dog as well.
