"Gratification", "satisfaction" and "pleasure" are all very similar to each other, but they differ in nuance quite a bit. "Gratification" comes from the Latin word for "grateful" and refers to something being truly pleasurable or fulfilling. "Satisfaction" just refers to the fulfillment of one's needs, wants, or desires, however, it may not always be something which someone enjoys or is grateful for. "Pleasure" refers to a feeling of enjoyment, contentment, or happiness. Ex: It was gratifying to get the promotion at work. Ex: That meal was so satisfying. Ex: It gave me pleasure to cook for them.
