Actually, "moves" is the most appropriate verb for this context. Gru and his family have become employees at the mall. When one opens a store or business in a place like a shopping mall or commercial center, it is called "moving in." This is similar to when a company opens an office an office building, which is also called "moving in." "Coming in" only indicates the action of going into somewhere, and does not indicate a long-term stay like a business or office does. Ex: A new bakery moved in next door to us. I can tell I'm going to be eating a lot of cake in the near future. Ex: New neighbors moved in yesterday. Should we go say hi?
