student asking question

Just curiosity, but does the name "Scooby-Doo" is originated from the word "spooky"? I guess they sound quite similar, and Scooby-Doo actually is a cowardly dog.

The name "Scooby Doo" actually comes from the Frank Sinatra song "Strangers in the Night." In the lyrics, Sinatra sings "dooby-dooby doo" which is used in Scooby Doo's theme song. This is where they got the name Scooby Doo.
