"By any means" is an expression that means to do something in any way possible or to any extent; at all. In this video, this couple is saying that they are not perfect in being a zero-waste family at all. They are trying their hardest to be zero-waste, but they acknowledge that they aren't doing it perfectly. This expression can be used when something needs to be completed and that it should be completed no matter what happens. Ex: We need to stay positive by any means necessary, especially during these difficult times. Ex: I need you to finish this project by any means. Ex: I am not the strongest by any means.
