Can I understand "get hooked on" here means "get addicted to"? Can you rephrase the whole sentence more specifically?

To make it more specific, the speaker means "you're gonna get hooked on that thing [the 55" plasma TV]." To get hooked on something means to get addicted to or obsessed with something. Ex: Recently, I've gotten hooked on taro bubble tea. I can't stop drinking it. Ex: My friend got hooked on honey butter chips and won't stop eating them. It's a huge problem.
